Lelley war memorial © Elstronwick Parish Council, 2015The memorial consists of brick built angled supporting wall with two inset marble plaques and bench seating. The memorial is located on the roadside of Main Street, Lelly.

In 2014 a grant of £150 was offered for repair and conservation work. The mortar in the construction joints was cracked and Lelley war memorial © Elstronwick Parish Council, 2015missing in areas allowing water into the structure which in term had caused extensive damage some of the bricks. In addition both above and below the inset plaques there were missing terracotta tiles. To address these issues the damaged bricks and missing terracotta tiles were replaced on a like-for-like basis and the construction joints was re-pointed with a lime mortar.

Further to research unfortunately little is known about the memorial or its history.
