Oakamoor war memorial is located at The Square on Carr Bank in Oakamoor, Staffordshire. The memorial is a tall stone wheel cross on a shaft. A square tapering plinth stands on a two-stepped stone base for support. The incised inscription is within recessed stone panels on the plinth and commemorates those who died in World War I and II. The memorial is a Grade II listed structure.
In 2016 a grant of £1,100 was awarded through War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme, supported by First World War Memorials Programme, for repair and conservation. The memorial was steam cleaned to improve the legibility of the inscription. The construction joints were re-pointed with lime mortar and some stone repairs undertaken. SmartWater was applied to metal elements as part of In Memoriam 2014 to deter theft.
The memorial was unveiled on 1st April 1922.
