Epping war memorial © Epping Town Council, 2011Epping war memorial is a limestone Latin cross. It is located on the Green near Palmers Hill and Epping High Street. It is Grade II listed and within Epping Conservation Area.

In 2011, War Memorials Trust offered a grant of £477 towards repair work to the memorial. Some of the stonework around the names had deteriorated and required replacement. The damaged stone was cut out by hand and replaced with matching Clipsham stone to fit the original profile. It was fixed with stainless steel dowels and stone resin. Although the new stone stands out visually, it will quickly weather to match the rest of the stone.Replaced damaged stone © Epping Town Council, 2011
